This site is dedicated to the art of James McClure.  James is a Florida artist who does sculpture, woodturning, and woodworking.  The site includes information about the classes James teaches, pictures of his work, and purchasing information.  James resides in Pensacola, Florida.  "Living on the Gulf Coast of Florida provides inspiration and an abundance of raw materials for my art", says James.

Maple Medley - An Acer Showcase

For the fourth time, James' work has been selected for the annual American Association of Woodturners (AAW) juried exhibition.  This year's theme is entitled "Maple Medley - An Acer Showcase."  In this show, all of the selected works feature the use of one or more varieties of the maple species.  James' piece entitled "Red Button" uses ambrosia maple.  It is a large turned red button sewn onto a red canvas with a black frame.  The show will be on display during the 2010 AAW Symposium in Hartford, CT and will travel to the AAW Gallery of Wood Art in St. Paul, MN from September 12th until December 19th. 

Charlotte Fine Art Show

James will be participating in the Charlotte Fine Art Show October 9th & 10th in Charlotte, NC at The Park (Formerly Merchandise Mart).  The Park is located at 2500 E Independence Blvd.
