The Hawaiian Calabash

I have been fascinated and influenced by the traditional Hawaiian Calabash for quite some time. I will present strategies for turning them at the 2011 AAW Symposium in St. Paul, MN in June.  The Hawaiian Calabash by Irving Jenkins Photographed by Hugo De Vries is a spectacular hardbound book that chronicles the history and development of these objects.  Click here to read more about the Hawaiian Calabash.
